Snow!

Sorry it's taken so long to update, but I'm really not liking the format for blogspot so we are looking at options for a different way to host this!

Ok that is out of the way. SNOW!

It's been up and down temperature wise while we've been here. It's -2 (28f) here right now. Pretty warm huh :) We bought Henrik his first snow suit! There wasn't a lot to pick from since it's been cold here for a while :) We did find a very cute red one. We also found him a monster-y hat.






Look ma! no hands or feet! Yeah it's a little big but even in the week since we got it his hands and feet are poking out more now!





Olof said we had to put him on the car, but he doesn't remember why :)




That is about 1.5 feet of snow he is sitting on!

First sled ride down a hill. He didn't seem to care at all. Hope next time he'll enjoy it :)

Trip to Sweden!

It was long and fairly uneventful. We had a delay in Austin due to fog, but that was ok because we had such a long layover in Chicago. We sat next to some very nice people between Chicago and Stockholm who helped me with Henrik a lot!

Henrik and I arrived in Stockholm a bit early and we had one last plane to catch up to Luleå. We were joined on that plane by Santa! The pilot said he was on his way to Lappland to finish getting ready for Christmas. He gave all the kids a present!

We were so excited to see Olof when we landed. Henrik was so cute he cuddled all over his pappa! These were taken with my cellphone :)

Baby it's cold outside!

Henrik got a new coat for when it is cold here. Yeah I know it's not often, but today it didn't get about 35! We are getting ready for a Sweden trip this week. I'm a little nervous about traveling without Olof but I'm sure we'll do just fine. Today in the tub, he started to turn over to hand off the edge. I'm not sure if he's deciding that moving is cool. So cross your fingers he'll start crawling!

Emma's Birthday

Saturday we went to Emma's birthday party. She turned 1! We had a lot of fun playing with the gang. Henrik sure does like the girls. Look at him with Annie and Emma ;) I think we're in trouble.
He's also a mega ham! Every time he hears a camera turn on he turns and flashes a smile at it. He is so going to be that guy running past the newcasters when they are on location!

Story time and Cookies!

Henrik is 4 days younger than Rhett. Luckily Rhett's mommy comes in to town every week in time to meet up at the library. Rhett is a cutie pie and the boys certainly seem to enjoy playing together (his mom and I enjoy our after library warm milk at startbucks too).

We went to a Cookie Exchange Friday and had a great time. There were lots of kiddos running around. Most of them were older and there were cookies to be decorated. Henrik was too little for that but he played with a very cute little girl called Genevieve. It seems they are sharing a secret :)

bananas, pears and doggy

Henrik has taken to feeding himself. I tried giving him 1/4 of a banana and he loved it! We've gone from hating cereal (and who can blame him that stuff is not yummi!) to feeding himself.




Dinner included pears (which he loves). I decided to dice them, but made them too small and he was frustrated and making all sorta of weird noises so I cut up some more into pear sticks and he was much happier. Dinner included cheese, pears and mashed potatoes. Check out how messy he got! And yes, Nellie was happy for what fell off of him when I got him our of the chair.




After dinner, he likes to enjoy some time fireside, curled up with Nellie his soon to be trusty buddy. I'm hoping he'll start to crawl after her.

Bath time is fun!

So we are lucky to have a little guy that loves bath time. Yes, he even puts up with rinse off the hair time! He has a favorite bath toy. The hippo. When he sees the hippo he usually squeals and then opens his mouth. Yes, our boy love to chew the hippo, loves it when you squeeze the hippo and it blows air on him and he loves it when you squeeze it on him and it makes little noises against his skin.

Since it's December, even Santa needs to have a bath every now an again.

This could drive one crazy

He bounced well over an hour that day. Oddly enough I don't mind the sounds and just look how happy he is.

Library time!

Our local library has lapsit 3 days a week. We sing, we play, we read. It's a lot of fun to meet other kiddos and play with new toys. There is also a different puppet that comes around and plays with everyone. Henrik usually tried to eat it. We keep telling him that we aren't French and do not eat frog legs. (this week was a frog)
I love the chance to meet other Mama's and watching Henrik play with the other kids.

I like to help with the laundry!

So what else is a boy to do with a stack of hanger? Eat them of course!

We totally meant to start this sooner, but oh well. Stuff happens when you have a little one. Here is where we'll try our best to get pictures and videos up for the family and friends to see.
